How do I join a seminar?

The live seminar isn’t loading or I can’t join?
Once you select the ‘Join’ seminar button, you will need to wait till the host lets you in to the live seminar. If the live seminar isn’t loading try refreshing it, or leaving and joining again.
I don’t know how to rename myself in the live seminar?
Once you have joined the live seminar you can change your name by:
Selecting participants
Select your name
From the options select rename
What is Job Expo?
The Job Expo website is created by LinkEffect in partnership with the Ministry of Social Development, as a platform for employers and job seekers to connect. On the platform employers can host candidate information seminars to profile their organisation to job seekers and recruit for jobs.
How does it work?
During a Job Expo seminar, the employer will run a live seminar with job seekers in order to profile their company and recruit for jobs. A seminar usually lasts about one hour, including live Q + A.
How do I apply for a Job?
If you’re interested in applying for a job, they are displayed on the jobs page of the website. Employers may have an alternative recruitment process and may require you to use their own recruitment website.
Who is eligible?
The Job Expo website is designed to be used by job seekers who are eligible to work in New Zealand.
Employers will be selected at the discretion of the Ministry of Social Development to take part in the Job Expo pilot.
How do people sign up?
To create an account select the sign up or join button and follow the steps. You will need a valid email address.
How many employers are on Job Expo?
During the pilot phase the Ministry of Social Development will be the only employer on the Job Expo website. We will continue to test and make improvements to the site from user feedback.
When is the first Job Expo seminar?
The first seminar will be held on the 30th of November.
What if I don’t want to attend a seminar?
Attending a Job Expo seminar is voluntary, as long as you have an account you can still apply for jobs.
What tool is used for the live seminars?
Zoom is the video conference tool used for live stream seminars and live chat.
I have a problem with Job Expo?
If you have any feedback while using Job Expo please use the ‘contact us’ or ‘support’ form to let us know.
How do I delete my account?
To delete your account as a job seeker, when logged in select settings and a delete account button is located at the bottom of the page.
